works like a charm!
This P/w Works As Advertised. Easy Assembly Instructions. The Two Reasons I Choose Good Over Excellent Rating Is The Following; I Did Not Like The Rubber Tie Straps To Hold Wand(Inverted) And The Other Is The Adjustable Nozzle. Don't Get Me Wrong, I Love The Adjustable Nozzle, It's The Settings, I Need A Stiffer Degree Than What's Offered And Zero Degree Is A Really Good Bubble Gum Remove Or Hole Bore- I Love This Machine Though

Good but with issues
My Craftsman pressure washer is still going after 18 years but the pressure is now not up to common tasks.. The B & S engine still starts first pull hot or cold and runs like a charm. I considered replacing the pump but with parts more than $150 I realized it was time to replace washer. On-line ordering and delivery went smoothly and I was able to put it through its paces within 5 days of making the purchase decision. My experience has been mixed and I am not yet sure I will keep it. Here are the Pros and Cons I have encountered with the first two tanks of gas. Pro: Does a great job cleaning - Brick, Vinyl Siding, Concrete sidewalk. Easy to assemble - Clear and illustrated instructions Starts easily when cold. Runs smoothly and I like the "Quiet Sense" that lets it run at idle except when the gun is activated. Smaller frame and bigger wheels than my 18 yo unit. Con: The "Ready Start" is anything but. When still quite hot, it will start after a dozen or so pulls. But multiple attempts are terribly inconvenient as the water pressure must be released after each attempt. If one leaves the engine to cool for about 10 minutes, it will NOT start. Investigation revealed that the "Ready Start" uses a thermostat to control the starting position of the throttle valve and the choke. When hot, both the throttle and the choke are held wide open. I am sure that it would start better if the throttle was reduced. The real problem is that once the thermostat senses that the unit is no longer very hot, it closes the throttle AND the choke. A warm engine quickly gets flooded when trying to start it. I did confirm this by having my wife hold the choke valve open while I pulled the starter and it started immediately. There is no place to store the assembled gun and wand. This is particular irksome when restarting as it is slow to start and the water pressure must be released after each attempt. The hose storage is almost useless. The angle of the handle is such that when returning the washer to storage, the hose will fall off at every bump. The 5-in-1 nozzle works OK but the wand on my original unit was more adjustable. But the real problem with this nozzle could also be a safety issue. When you lay it on the ground to start the pressure washer, it is possible to partially unlock the adjustable disk. The release stands proud of the nozzle and contact with the ground can push it in. While it still looks OK, the adjustment ring will pop out with a loud bang as soon as the gun is activated. In summary it is a solid, and hopefully still reliable pressure washer that does what it is supposed to do well. The "new features" and "improved design" have added nothing but problems. I realize that today's consumers do not want to know about chokes, throttle valves, etc., but if you are going to automate these functions, at least get it right. It actually takes more knowledge to figure out how to start it warm or simply wait two hours for cool down.

Shake, Rattle and Roll

The first unit did not suck up the soap. Returned that one. The second one made a noise that sounded like parts were hitting each other. Returned that one, too. The second one did spray and clean, but did not sound like it would clean for long.

Craftsman 3000 PSI Pressure Washer

Worked great for me. I didn't have any of the problems other reviewers complained of with it not starting up after using it for a while, letting it run out of gas, refilling it and it not starting. It started up for me and my wife by the third pull hot or cold, even if it ran out of gas. Maybe this was a problem with an older model but it seems to have been fixed with this one. I have no complaints it cleaned our deck and the old, mildewed wood looks like new. I'm very happy with this purchase and I would recommend this to anyone in need of a Power Washer in this class range. As far as the hose storage complaints, read the instructions. If you wrap it right it doesn't ever fall off, I don't see where this is even a complaint. When you're done with it wrap the hose up tie it with string and store it where ever you want.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good Product

I bought the pressure and had used it one time. It ran out of fuel while i was using it. I refilled it with fuel and tried to restart it. It would not so i started checking the oil, filter, and anything else I could check. I finally pulled the spark plug and checked it. It looked good but i decided to go to the local parts house and get a new one. I installed the new one and low and behold it started right up and ran like a champ. Look forward to many years of service.

Love the auto throttle!

I never had a pressure washer and shopping around was confusing so I decided to just get this beast. It is powerful, well built and has nice onboard storage for the tools and chemical dispensers. I only wish the handle folded forward for more compact storage. I've used it to blast away 20 years of crud on the house, driveway and patio furniture. I was so happy, I was looking for other things to clean so I did my mailbox and engine bay. My favorite feature is that it will throttle down to idle while I'm not spraying and then kick right back up when I squeeze the trigger. As with all my gas-powered equipment, I use only non-Ethanol gas.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
