      Great add on...
I purchased this unit at the same time as a convertible trimmer, the middle of last summer. The unit is easy to install and works well. The blade appears to have long life. As for changing it... I have removed the blade a couple of times. Per the manual, it is a reverse thread. I also put anti seize on the mount and nut. This will help when I finally have to change the blade. I appears that most of the folks having a problem changing the blade did not read the manual and are attempting to remove the nut as a normal thread...

      Frustrated
Listen closely! I purchased the edger attachment last fall. My first blade change attempt was a nightmare. I still haven't gotten the screw off. I tried to place a flat head screw driver in the slot to keep the blade from spinning. The slot just broke. Nearly every review I've read had the same problem. I wasted an hour of yard time wrestling with this blade change issue. Don't buy it until you find out how to resolve this issue. Try Ryobi. Not to mention, the trimmer motor itself is heavy. Shop around.

      A bit too cumbersome

This edger attachment is a bit cumbersome for just anyone to use as an attachment. It works well - but the user has to be pretty strong to maneuver it around.

      Works great!

This replaced my previous Craftsman edger attachment that I had for 7 years and it works great so far (after two uses)! It attaches easily, feels secure and edges the lawn well.

      Got the job done fast

I bought this to make a slice in the yards to install a dog fence wire. It worked great. The guard did clog in the sections where I have heavy clay soil but that just required a quick cleanout with a screw driver. I also have a rather large power head which I'm sure is a must for something like this.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Could be better

I really havent find this product best affort on using it... it creates a line on dirt, but for some reason it kills the engine of my trimmer, plus the one guide tire makes it a bit not manageable.

      edger

Good accessory for edging lawn. Must keep nuts tight or you can lose them as they tend to vibrate off. Fast shipping

      Great Edger

I bought this Edger so that I didn't have to deal with the long extension cord for my electric edger. It took a little while to get used to it, but after the third time I was completely comfortable with it. I use it all the time now and it only takes a minute to change from a string trimmer to an Edger and no cords to deal with. I'm thinking of buying the blower attachment as well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Easy to use.

In the past, I have owned products which were supposedly interchangeable, however, the ease of use left much to be desired. The Craftsman Universal edger attachment worked perfectly with my Poulan Pro trimmer, I recommend this product to all fellow home owners.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Disappointing

I really wanted this to work but it disappointed on a number of levels. The design utilizing a single wheel was difficult to keep on line. There was a lack of enough power to have any real impact and the motor ended up uncomfortably close to the arm and elbow. All in all the unit was uncomfortable to use
