overall good trimmer
Overall this is a very good trimmer. When my Black & Decker 1.8 amp died, I picked this one up. I have not had any issues with it thus far. This is an auto-feed model which will quickly go through the spool if you keep releasing and pressing the trigger. To not waste your line, make sure your extension cord is long enough and you move any obstacles out the way so that you can trim the grass without releasing the trigger. When you release the trigger you have about a 1 1/2 seconds to press the trigger before it starts to advance the line. You know the line has advanced when you hear a click. Only cons for me are that I wish it would extend a bit longer, and that the line was a neon green or other very bright color to easily see the line where it will cut when edging your lawn.

Advancements not always a good thing
This item works fine as far as cutting. I don't like the angle adjuster, it seems like its unnecessary and seems like a weak point for breakage. I don't like the auto line feed. Every time you pull the trigger, let go for a 2 seconds, then pull the trigger again the line feeds and cuts off the old line, I use the stop and go method for my trimming a lot, so this feature does not work at all for me. Plus it was never difficult to bump the line feed in the past. The trimmer has 2 lines instead of 1. This is great for the product sales, as you use up the line twice as fast. I've never had a problem with the cutting abilities of 1 line, so I find 2 lines at once a big waist of money and my time, as you have to change the line spool twice as often.

Does a great job at a great price

This trimmer is great. It's very easy to use and does a great job at trimming weeds and edging the lawn. The line feeds out easily and sets itself at the perfect length. Highly recommend.

Excellent trimmer

I have a small backyard and it was getting unruly without gardening equipment. This trimmer really handled all the overgrowth and had my lawn looking respectable once again. It's very lightweight and powerful for the price. I don't regret this purchase at all.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Handy little trimmer

This is a good little trimmer as long as you do not expect more than what it was designed. The salesperson said it was primarily for grass and that if I had weeds I might want to go for a bigger model. It worked well on both grass and the weeds I had. The big weeds needed a chain saw so I was not disappointed. I only use it a few (3-5) times a year so it will work fine for me.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

works great, but a little heavy for me.

I've only used it once since I got it, it does the job well. It's a little heavy though. 6 lbs doesn't sound like much but when you are small woman carrying it for an hour, it starts to wear you out.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
ok

It was an okay weed eater for being electric. My other one has only 4.5 amps so it was definitely more powerful. The weed Ester line spool was so much easier than. The previous model. They definitely made this model better. I would recommend this to others if interested in a trimmer for a smaller yard.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Quality if Paint Sprayer

Could work better, easy to hold, uses minimal paint, must hold close to surface

Finally, a perfect weedeater!

Finally got to use it. Figures, it rained for days after I got it. While it isn't as powerful as a full gas motor one, this one delivers the power I need without the weight and without running down like a battery one. I have a big overgrown ditch and it took out weeds that were about 1/2" around easily and put out more twine when needed without my intervention. The only down side is the cord. I have about 200' of cord but am willing to deal with the cord in exchange for the power and I don't have to keep up yet another gas engine. My last one lasted 12 years so I'm looking forward to 12 years with this one.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Automatic feeder feature sucks

The automatic feeder feature is Horrible!!! The line gets used up much faster than the line gets replaced. I spent so much time trying to get it to feed my back ended up hurting my back. Needing to slow it down to near stop to get it to feed line is moronic! The amount of time added to my weed wacking cutting time was huge. DO NOT GET IF YOU HAVE A LARGE YARD! Used it twice and am returning it.

Would like it better if it were single line bump feed

My Toro 53158 finally gave out and the guard broke on my Toro 53146 so I needed a new line trimmer. Both of those Toro units were bump feed and that's all I've ever owned. They allowed for seamless operation. I checked out a bunch of different string trimmers and couldn't find any bump feed available either in store or online with easily available replacement spools so I took a chance on this unit. Also I'm a fan of Craftsman. I don't care for the fact that it has a dual cutting line and automatic feed which I find in conjunction goes through spools about five times as fast as the bump feed with a single cutting line. It also took me some time to get used to the automatic feed and listening for the "click" sound. Overall though, this is much more powerful than my prior units and lightweight yet very well built. It otherwise does exactly what I need it to do. I just have to get used to the automatic feed and buying a lot more spools. It is, however, easier to change these trimmer spools than with my prior units. Overall, I'm satisfied, but wish Craftsman made a version of this unit with a single cutting line and bump feed. That would sell me.

So pleased !

Original purchase of 2 Craftsman weed wackers --A his - A hers ! One was too heavy for my wife so the next day i had to return to Sears & exchange it for a lighter aversion. No questions asked by the sales staff & that's what made the day brighter & my wife happier. Compliments to the staff !...And bye to all our weeds! Thank You.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
