When and how did you get into using tools/doing projects?
I was pretty young when the "taking things apart" phase started. Putting things back together was a few years later!
What do you do when you're not tinkering in the garage and working on other projects?
Road trips, or I can be found smiling, shaking my head and helping out someone on their "quick" DIY project.
What's the project you're most proud of?
That's an easy one—construction of an outdoor living space for my parents 20 years ago. It is as solid as the day it was built.
Any stories of DIY disaster?
None that I would admit to; I refer to such things as a "design change".
Why do you use Craftsman tools?
In the past they have represented a great value; the warranty serving more as peace of mind than something to use or abuse.
How did you get your DIY skills?
My grandfathers and uncles ensured my survival while I was in the dismantling phase. My father and the rest of them got me headed down the DIY road.
Anything you have to say to other craftsmen out there?
Never get so busy on a project that you don't take the time to think about what it is you're doing.
