When and how did you get into using tools/doing projects?
I was always doing something with Dad's tools. Building racers out of produce crates. After school and with the children, I started building dollhouses and some furniture for my wife and daughters.
What do you do when you're not tinkering in the garage and working on other projects?
I love shotgun sports and golf.
What's the project you're most proud of?
My daughter's hutch from a sketch of an antique one we saw in a store, my wife's bookcase, a Victorian dollhouse.
Any stories of DIY disaster?
I built some end tables for my wife. I used the same stain and varnish that I used before on a bookcase that turned out great. DO NOT USE OLD STAIN AND VARNISH!
Why do you use Craftsman tools?
They are affordable and I find them reliable for the most part.
How did you get your DIY skills?
By trial and error. Many trials and a lot of errors! :) :) :)
Anything you have to say to other craftsmen out there?
You can do whatever you set your mind to. Take it one step at a time.
