When and how did you get into using tools/doing projects?
My grandfather had a repair center and inspection station and as soon as i could walk he had me in the garage.
What do you do when you're not tinkering in the garage and working on other projects?
If i'm not working I'm fishing or riding my harley.
What's the project you're most proud of?
I did a complete frame up resto on my 1976 flh harley that my dad bought new.
Any stories of DIY disaster?
Oh yes, tried to remodel my great aunt's old farm house, my current home. Had to call in some favors from friends who are not very mechanical but very good with a hammer and nails. Give me a hammer and nails and it turns my right thumbnail black for some reason. I'm left handed.
Why do you use Craftsman tools?
When pap first took me to the garage as a little kid he had these huge towering tool boxes filled with tools, they said craftsman on the boxes. He always used craftsman tools because of the quality, price and the warranty if he broke a tool.
How did you get your DIY skills?
Hands down with out a doubt my grandfather.
Anything you have to say to other craftsmen out there?
Pap always said don't be afraid to take anything apart and try and fix it yourself. If it's broke you can't use it anyway so what harm can you do.
