Trimmers Affected: Only the model numbers shown above, and certain serial numbers, 1K259DG2426 through 1K289DG1949 (manufactured between November 25, 2019 and November 28, 2019), are included in the recall. The second through fifth characters of the serial number identify the manufacturing date. The second character is the month with A= January, B= February, C = March etc. The third and fourth characters are the day of the month. The fifth character is the last digit of the year of manufacture (e.g. K269 = November 26, 2019). Trimmers which fall outside the affected serial number range are not affected and are OK to continue using. Affected trimmers were sold between December 9, 2019 and January 24, 2020.

Hazard: Trimmer attachment head on product may continue to rotate after the throttle is released. If so, the moving attachment head may pose a laceration hazard.

What Consumers Should Do: Consumers should stop using the trimmer and call 1-866-864- 2949 for further instruction on obtaining a replacement.
