Saved a towing bill!
My friend's car broke down in the middle of nowhere. We had to remove the bearing on the rear axle, and of course, 3 bolts came out- one was stuck and rounded off. We tried every tool we had and nothing worked. We drove to town and got my dad's damaged bolt remover set and we had the final bolt out in minutes. I was amazed at how well it worked! A set should be in everyone's toolbox.

Didn't really work
I tried the Grip-Tite socket, but it broke on my first try. I got the Bolt-Out because it was built more solidly, however it was unable to grip the rounded bolt. The bolt was originally 15mm, but after being rounded fairly heavily none of the Bolt-Out sockets would fit. On top of that, Bolt-Out does not work with a socket wrench and each one requires a different size wrench - which requires a larger tool set than I have. And unless you have extra long wrenches you won't get very good leverage.

Worked like a Charm

I struggled with a rounded lawn mower blade screw that was rounded by the shop that serviced it last year. Tried every tool in my tool shop-nothing would budge it until I tried these-worked great!

Beware-no warranty on these!

I broke one and found out then that there is no warranty on these. They are also not sold seperately. If I had known that, never would have bought them in the first place.

works as promised

I had locking lug nut on a car I bought that had a missing key. These did the trick. Removed the offending bolts and showed no signs of wear after removing four bolts. So far, so good

Product will work on hardened bolts but...

When I decided to do a front brake job on my car, I realized that the last person who owned it actually rounded a couple of the bolts holding the brake caliber in place. I tried all the tricks to get it off just short of grinding it off and drilling it out. I found these online and decided to grab a set as a last resort. It took me about 30 mins to figure out the best way to do this so to save you time, here goes. If you are working with a standard bolt, you will be fine. If the bolt is hardened, you may need to jimmy it. The first thing I did was file the last remaining edge of the bolt head. Then I lightly tapped the bolt remover onto the end. Next, I grabbed something that would allow me to pound this remover on evenly, (I used another socket and just turned it around so the back side would be on the head of the remover). After some good hits with a hammer, I grabbed a wrench and it came right off. I also sprayed the bolt with some PB blaster to help. All in all, I got the bolt off!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent Tool!

Used this to get brake caliper bolts off my car after trying vice grips, different wrenches, liquid wrench. The bolts got rounded out and found this tool online. The reviews were right! I put the correct bolt remover on the bolt and it gripped it. A few hits with the hammer on the wrench and it came right off. Great too to have!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Tool !!!

This is an awesome tool if you strip a bolt head with a ratchet socket. It grips on to a stripped bolt head and can work in a tight spot.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great

Got this set today had two transmission mount bolts that were stripped bad.  I tried the old mech's trick to pound on smaller sockets on the nuts but made it worse,so i bought this set man this is the best money I have spent in a long time, I have ton's of tools and this set is right up there with the big boys.  It worked great the first time the more you try to turn the nut off the tighter it gripped.  This  is a must have tool if you work as a wrench or even a hobby person well worth the money.  I was reading some other reviews on here about people that used them on exhaust bolts and they said they did not work and bad mouthed the tool the fact is that on exhaust you have to heat up the bolts first and take them off when they are hot.  This set works great buy it thanks Sears great tool craftsman all the way saved me a lot of time and money.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
